16 November 2017

On November 13, 2017, the Romanian Intelligence Service attended the second regional conference organized in Brașov as part of the PROTECTOR – Safe Business national awareness program.

The Service’s presentations tackled the warning indicators that are associated with the commercial operations involving dual-use and military items, as well as the consequences of unilateral sanctions against Romanian economic operators.

The Brașov conference was directed at economic operators from the counties of Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș and Sibiu.

PROTECTOR – Safe Business is an inter-institutional program consisting of eight regional conferences directed at economic operators engaged in trading, selling and supplying products and services that are subject to the export control regime or to international sanctions.

PROTECTOR – Safe Business is supported by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry for the Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of National Defense, the National Bank of Romania, the National Office for the Prevention and Countering of Money Laundering, the National Committee for the Control of Nuclear Activities, the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Romanian Intelligence Service.
